Fireside

Delete your Fireside data

No questions asked — the fire stays warm.

Request deletion

Two ways, both free.

In the app

Open Profile → Delete account and confirm. Your data is deleted straight away — it's immediate and permanent, and there's no waiting period or way to undo it.

Can't access the app?

Email support@firesidedating.com from the email address on your account and tell us to delete it. We'll delete everything within 30 days of your request.

What gets deleted

Everything that identifies you.

  • Your profile — name, photo, age, gender, bio, story answers, preferences, personality traits and hobbies.
  • Every photo you uploaded.
  • Your identity and age verification media (photo ID and selfie) and your verification result.
  • Your Sparks — matches, chat messages and letters, including letters you scheduled.
  • Your friends — connections and friend chats.
  • Your Fireside history — conversations, questions you answered, picks, kudos, votes and the notes you left when you stepped away.
  • Your Around activity — posts, replies, confessions, tea, moods, reactions, hides, karma, badges, quests, chests and wood.
  • The location you shared for In-Person Firesides, including approximate meetup locations.
  • Your notification settings, registered devices and notification history.
  • Your Google or Apple sign-in connection, so you're free to create a fresh account later.

What we keep, and for how long

Only records that no longer point back to you.

  • Group records from Firesides you sat in — the questions asked, timings, and the venue or meetup details — with your name and account ID removed. Kept up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • App-integrity logs used to spot fraud and abuse (device check result, IP address, timestamps). These carry no name or email. Kept up to 12 months.
  • A photo or clip chosen by a moderator for a Past Meets gallery or a social reel, if you appear in one. Your uploader credit is removed; it stays until a moderator takes it down.
  • Anything we're required by law to hold — for example records tied to a serious safety report. Kept only for as long as that law requires.

Encrypted backups are purged on a rolling 30-day cycle, so deleted data disappears from them within 30 days.
